The Lexus RX is a mid-sized SUV built by Toyota's Lexus luxury division. Offering stellar quality, resale and reliability, the Lexus RX can be ordered with a silky smooth 3.5-liter V6, which provides 295 horsepower and 267 lb-ft on regular gas. Power is delivered to the pavement by an 8-speed automatic transmission to a buyer's choice of front- or all-wheel-drive powertrain. 

Longer RX 350L and RX 350L F Sport models receive differently-tuned power through a 3.5-liter V6 producing 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. The hybrid RX 450h is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that combines with a 123-kW electric motor-generator, that when combined, offers a total of 308 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque. The longer RX 450hL is powered by a slightly different gasoline V6 and electric motor generator-equipped engine. It manages to combine with the motor-generator to provide a similar 308 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque.

All models have a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. 

The looks of the RX from Lexus of Milwaukee feature the new design language coming out of Lexus studios. Gone are the plain stylings from days gone by. In their place are new angular shapes, dynamic styling and a look that compliments the trademark Lexus "spindle grille."

At the rear of the RX, the C-pillars are blacked out to present viewers with a floating roof appearance. And in case you were wondering, the three-row RX-L model is just 4.3-inches longer than the standard model. 

The interior of the Lexus RX features nothing but the best. Whether it's upscale materials, superb fit and finish or stellar design, there is no doubt Lexus has delivered on their promise of the relentless pursuit of perfection. 

Inside, occupants will find everything from an analog clock to an available 12.3-inch split-screen multimedia display screen for in-car navigation and entertainment. Controlled by a center console-mounted mouse controller, all items and apps are readily accessible.

The RX 350's seats are supportive and offer plenty of comfort for cross-country excursions. The RX 350L includes seating for seven with a 3-across middle row seat, with additional room for two more in the third row. Standard offerings on the RX 450hL are two captain's chairs in the middle row, reducing passengers' total number to six, rather than seven. Cargo capacity is 18 cubic feet behind the rear seats. Fold them forward, and that space grows to more than 56 cubic feet.

Generously-equipped, the Lexus RX 350 is complete with standard LED headlights, a ten-way power-adjustable driver's seat, a power tailgate, 10 airbags, power-adjustable steering wheel, rain-sensing wipers, dual-zone climate controls, a rearview camera, 18-inch wheels and the Lexus Safety System+2.0 with automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, auto high-beams and a lane departure warning system, among other things.

Standard in-car entertainment includes an 8-inch command screen, 9-speaker audio with USB, Bluetooth, and auxiliary inputs, as well as Siri Eyes Free for Apple iPhones. Speaking of Apple, The Lexus RX includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also on-board.

Lexus Enform Safety Connect is an important feature on every Lexus vehicle. It's here too and is complimentary for 10 years. The safety suite includes an SOS button, roadside assistance, automatic collision notification, and stolen vehicle notifications. Lexus Enform Remote offers RX owners complimentary service for a year with the ability to open or remotely lock the vehicle, start the engine, adjust climate controls and even check and adjust climate controls.

From the options list, tick off the following: All-wheel-drive is optional on the RX 350 and standard on RX 450h hybrid. F-Sport models feature FWD but they can be upgraded to AWD. Bundled packages bring several desirable features together, including leather seating, a sunroof, heated and ventilated seats, a touch-free tailgate, navigation, a Mark Levinson 15-speaker audio system and a 12.3-inch display screen. 

An available towing package is also available, complete with a heavy-duty radiator and auxiliary oil coolers to ease the engine's load and transmission as it totes around a trailer up to 3,500 pounds. 

A pampering ride, the Lexus RX 350 is not known for its aggressive driving prowess. While it may not be the vehicle that is set up for track day at the local autodrome, it won't embarrass you on the highway to and from work, on an outing to pick up the kids at school or on the way to hit the links at the local country club.
